Guests can find everything they wish for in an active or relaxing holiday. The main attraction of Bad Ragaz is the Tamina Spring where the water is at a body temperature of 36.5ºC as it pours forth from the nearby gorge. Immersing oneself in the comfortable yet invigorating thermal waters is a sheer delight.

Beautiful landscape is right on the doorstep offering the best way to recharge your batteries. Whether it’s the Giessen Park with its old trees inviting you to go for a stroll, the Tamina Gorge refreshingly cool in summer, or the spacious parks and fountains – holidays in Bad Ragaz and Heidiland are a delight for all the senses. "Just being here is wonderful", wrote Rainer Maria Rilke during one of his sojourns in Bad Ragaz and, along with many other celebrities, he became a regular guest at this health resort and holiday destination.

Bündner Herrschaft

Bündner Herrschaft is the main wine-growing region of Graubünden. The mild climate, Föhn and chalky soil are perfect conditions for a wine-producing region and the cultivation of high quality vines. 42 varieties of grape are grown here – between Bonaduz in the Rhine Valley to Fläsch in the Bündner Herrschaft – from which over 70 wineries produce a broad palette of wines. Especially popular is the complex and refined Blauburgunder (Pinot Noir) which has a particular lustre due to the wine growers cultivating it in harmony with nature and the relatively small harvests.

Probably nowhere does one experience the four seasons so markedly as in this region, which is known for its mild climate. In autumn the aroma is so intense that one has the impression of bathing in wine! Yet even in winter or low season it’s a pleasure to roam through this small region of great wines and taste the new "Herrschäftler" in the wine cellars, locally known as "Torkel". Whether your trip to the Herrschaft is on foot, by electric bike or in a horse-drawn carriage it will undoubtedly be unforgettable
