Heidiland Erlebnis-Pass

Bad Ragaz and surroundings

Bad Ragaz invites you to pause a while and pamper yourself. As Rainer-Maria Rilke, the renowned poet once said; «To be here is just wonderful». At the heart of the spa town is the new Tamina Therme – a place of tranquillity and relaxation. It is also peaceful and relaxing in the various remote and unspoilt small side valleys whereas life down in the valley, with its shopping areas, cultural events and places to go out, pulsates. The mountain region around the Pizol summit is one of the loveliest hiking areas in Switzerland and offers spectacular panoramic views, on a clear day as far as Lake Constance.

Bündner Herrschaft

The Bündner Herrschaft is on one hand, Heidi, Peter and the Alpöhi (grandfather)’ s homeland, and on the other, a relatively small area producing excellent wines. The wine-growing area of about 350 hectares produces an impressive diversity and quality of wines with the Pinot Noir grape flourishing particularly well. The idyllic landscape of the Bündner Herrschaft cast its spell over the author Johanna Spyri when she was in her 50’s. During her frequent stays with friends in Jenins, she found the inspiration for her successful Heidi stories still enjoyed by children and adults alike all over the world today.

The lake walen and surroundings

The Riviera north of the Alps. Directly below the mighty Churfirsten, lies the fjord-like, lake Walen. Around the lake are several picturesque villages, perfect for a leisurely stroll. The Mediterranean climate on the southern slopes of the Churfirsten makes it possible to grow exotic fruits which emphasises the southern feeling. There is something for everyone around the lake Walen– be it a gentle walk, sunbathing on the beach, a lazy boat ride or more energetic water sports, hiking or biking.
