History
The heart of the Tamina Therme Bad Ragaz can be found in the depths of the ruggedly romantic Tamina Gorge: the legendary spring which has been providing us with body-temperature thermal spa water for centuries.
In the early 16th century, Theophrastus Paracelsus worked as a physician in the wild Tamina Gorge and it was here that he first documented the beneficial effects of the Bad Pfäfers spring water. Since opening Europe’s first thermal indoor pool in 1872, Bad Ragaz has been one of the most important spa resorts in Europe.
