The Swiss Olympic Medical Center Bad Ragaz presents itself
The Department of Sports Medicine headed by Dr. Christian Schlegel and Dr. Christian Hoppe was officially
accredited as the Swiss Olympic Medical Center in 2004. Dr. Christian Schlegel looked after the Swiss Olympic
team at the 2010 Winter Games in Vancouver as Chief Medical Officer.
The international clientele, among them famous professional athletes and top-class teams, regularly attend the
Medical Health Center to be treated by doctors, physiotherapists and medical masseurs, in order to assess and systematically improve their health and physical capacity.
Transfer of knowledge ensures that other medical and therapeutic departments also reap the benefits of
the latest findings at the Swiss Olympic Medical Center.
All treatment methods and findings derived from sports medicine are also applied, to great effect, to non-sportspeople with joint and back complaints. These include, for example, osteoarthritis patients or patients with herniated vertebral discs.
